From a Small Kitchen to Wing Snob

It all started in a small home kitchen in Lansing, Michigan, where founder Marcus Reed spent years perfecting the craft of the perfect wing. Frustrated by bland, forgettable wings at local spots, Marcus set out to create something different — bold flavors, quality ingredients, and sauces made entirely from scratch.

The name Wing Snob was born from his philosophy: life is too short for mediocre wings. What started as weekend pop-ups quickly became a cult following, and in 2018 Wing Snob officially opened its doors at 5210 S Cedar St, Lansing. Today, the wingsnob name stands for uncompromising quality, bold creativity, and food that makes people come back again and again.

2016

The Backyard Beginnings

Marcus Reed starts experimenting with wing sauces in his home kitchen, hosting informal "wing nights" for friends and neighbors in Lansing. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

2017

First Pop-Up & Sold Out

Wing Snob hosts its first public pop-up at a local Lansing market. Every batch sells out in under two hours. The Wing Snob brand name is officially coined — bold wings, no apologies.

2018

Opening Day at S Cedar St

Wing Snob opens its first brick-and-mortar location at 5210 S Cedar St, Lansing, MI. The line stretches around the block on opening weekend — a milestone that still motivates the team today.

2020

Pivoting & Thriving Online

When the world changed, Wing Snob adapted swiftly — launching online ordering, contactless pickup, and community meal programs that kept the community fed and the team employed.

2022

30 Flavors & Catering Launch

The Wing Snob menu expands to 30+ signature flavors, and the catering division officially launches — bringing the Wing Snob experience to events, offices, and celebrations across Michigan.

2024

50,000 Customers & Growing
